The Transvaal daisy, also known as the Barberton daisy, is a perennial flowering plant native to South Africa. It is a family of the Asteraceae or Compositae, including sunflowers, daisies, chrysanthemums, asters, endives, and lettuce. The Transvaal daisy has glossy, notched leaves that form a rosette, and the flowers grow 12 to 18 inches high and can be single, semi-double, or double. The flowers come in shades of pink, orange, red, yellow, and white.
