Rhodomyrtus tomentosa, also known as downy rose-myrtle, has flowers that are about one inch across and have five rose-pink petals. The petals have a white outside and a central mass of pink stamens. The flowers can grow solitary or in clusters of two or three in the axils of the leaves. Rhodomyrtus tomentosa is a flowering plant native to southern and southeastern Asia. It’s a member of the Myrtaceae family and is an evergreen shrub that can grow up to 3 meters tall.
