Dendrobium albosanguineum is a pseudobulbous epiphyte. Lindl first described it in 1851, and it is native to the regions of Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Thailand and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome.

Dendrobium albosanguineum Lindl flower, also known as the White and Blood-Red Dendrobium, has creamy-white to pale yellow flakes with a creamy lip and blood-red or maroon spots. The flower also has red stamens. Can be found on trees that occur high up in the canopy at elevations of 300 to 600 meters. The flowers are 5 to 9 cm in size and bloom in the spring on a short, 2 to 7-flowered raceme with fragrant, fleshy, long-lived flowers that arise from the upper nodes of the more mature leafed and leafless canes. The orchid also has light green, translucent leaves and requires a semi-dry winter rest.
