Payne’s Grey is a neutral-tinted oil paint that artists use to create a sense of depth and atmospheric effects. It’s a versatile color that can add warmth to artwork and is often used to make the impression of distance from an atmospheric perspective. Payne’s gray is also a popular alternative to black and can create black when used neatly. When diluted or mixed with white, it will be mid-grey.
